Questions, answered
Is Ocular another generative AI model?
No. Ocular doesn't generate images with a model. It's a rendering engine that applies your approved brand rules deterministically. AI assistants call it; it doesn't replace them.
Does Ocular generate designs?
Not in the generative sense. The AI works out what you need: the intent and the data. Ocular renders it using your approved templates and rules.
Do we need to change AI provider?
No. Ocular is built to work with whichever assistants your organisation already uses, through MCP. If you change or add providers, your brand rules stay where they are.
What does deterministic mean?
The same validated request against the same rule set version produces the same visual output. Every time.
Does our data train an AI model?
No. Ocular isn't a model and doesn't train on your data. The data sent with a request is used to render that asset.
Can Ocular work with multiple brands?
Yes. An organisation can hold several brands, sub-brands or campaign identities, and the enterprise gateway will control who can use which.
Can an AI override Ocular's brand rules?
No. The AI only sends intent and data. Fonts, colours, layout and logo treatment aren't things it can pass in, so they aren't things it can change.
What happens when a request can't be represented within the rules?
Ocular fails closed. If no approved visual treatment exists, it returns a clear rejection rather than improvising an off-brand asset.
Is Ocular available today?
The deterministic rendering engine, brand rules and templates are available now. The API is in development, with the MCP server and enterprise gateway next. We're working with design partners as we build.
